Meet the FounderHi, I'm Arcelia.
I'm a mother, entrepreneur, creative, and business strategy and operations professional. I believe that a beautiful celebration can create a lifelong memory—and that a creative idea can become a meaningful opportunity.
With more than 10 years of experience in strategic corporate consulting, I've brought planning, innovation and business development into the world of events. In 2014, I decided to use those same principles to create a transformative event business: Sister Sweet.
But the inspiration behind it all is personal. My daughter, Savvy, inspired the beginning of this journey. What started as a desire to nurture her imagination grew into something I could share with

Through Sister Sweet, I've had the privilege of teaching more than 150 students and supporting aspiring entrepreneurs. Our Balloon Academy extends our mission beyond event design: from a first garland to pricing, business planning, customer relationships and the systems that help a business grow.
Our community work—from back-to-school initiatives to seasonal celebrations and neighborhood events—reminds me why this matters. We don't just want to make events look beautiful. We want people to feel welcomed, encouraged and inspired.
